Desmond Adams was born on the 16th of March 1925, the son of Stanley & Daisy Adams (née England), who had been married in the September quarter of 1933 in the Registration District of Glanford Brigg, Lincolnshire. He was the eldest of three sons born to Stanley and Daisy.
Having entered the 80th anniversary year of D-Day, Lord Richard Dannatt, Chair of the Normandy Memorial Trust, has recorded a message from the Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer.
